4 Reasons you should be drinking Water.

It sounds so simple – drink more water. But this one thing can have so many positive benefits on your body – including helping you burn body fat.

Here are some of the best side effects of topping up your daily H2O:

Number 1: It boosts your metabolism. Scientists have found that drinking 500ml of water can boost your metabolism by as much as 30% !! A faster metabolism means your body is burning more calories. Happy days. I aim to start every day by drinking 500ml of ice cold water as soon as I wake up. Try it!

Number 2: Boosts Performance. Being hydrated ensures that you are at your best especially when it comes to exercise. Losing as little as 2% of your total water can start to have negative effects on your performance, not what we want when we are training towards a goal. There is much debate over how much people should drink daily but like calories this varies form person to person. Aim for around 2 litres per day and 3 litres if you’re coming to BootCamp a lot and working out hard and see how you feel.

Number 3: Helps with digestion. Water helps keep us regular (you know what we’re saying) and helps our bodies digest food by dissolving fat and and soluble fiber.

Number 4: Improves weight loss. Drinking water can help you feel more satiated when you are dieting and stop you from over eating. People also often mistake being dehydrated with hunger and so eat more when really they just need some good quality H2O. One study even found that dieters who drank 1/2 a litre of water before meals lost 44% more weight over a period of 12 weeks.

So there you have it. Water. It’s good. Drink more
